Explore Maine's backroads and mountains! Make awesome memories in the most serene, beautiful and iconic landscapes in New England. Nashoba North is strongly committed to environmental enjoyment, awareness, and the Leave No Trace philosophy. Campers learn safety in the wilderness, proper handling of fire, low-impact camping, conservation techniques, and about local plants and wildlife. Trips to the local Maine State Wildlife Park are always exciting! Our highly competent, fun instructors match campers to trips based on their hiking abilities. Every trip offers supportive opportunities to advance to their skills. Every Sunday morning campers elect to sign up for the upcoming trips they wish to join in. We work in conjunction with the State of Maine's Department of Forestry and Wildlife. Many campers strive to become a member of the “4,000 Footer Club”. Cool fact. You receive a t-shirt the first time you summit Rattlesnake Mountain just across the lake from camp. All trips are elective: not mandatory and included in the tuition with the exception of ocean sailing and Moxie white water rafting. Most day and overnight trips are only an hour distance from camp. We also discover the unique landscapes only found off the coast of Maine. Ageless scenery, and rich history inspired the famous works of Andrew Wyeth, Winslow Homer and Herman Melville (Moby Dick). Let Maine and Nashoba inspire you.
