Why Maine is the Choice for your Child

Choosing a summer camp for your child is a time-intensive and often emotional process.  For many families, it is the first time their child will be away from home for an extended period of time.   While the transition period can often be difficult the development that comes from such an experience is more than worth it.

Maine offers the best possible location for a summer camp, with temperates averaging a cool 68°.  With beautiful green woods and pristine lakes, a summer in Maine is a summer in paradise.

Why Sleepaway Camp?

Sleepaway camps provide a unique opportunity for your child to grow and develop long lasting friendships.  Campers often stay in touch with each other years after parting.  Sleepaway camps are truly life changing events that your child will never forget.

While the choice between a day camp and a sleepaway camp can be difficult, campers overwhelmingly report that it is a positive experience that they would never take back.  When asked if they would have done a day camp instead, almost everyone says “no way!”

Why Camp Nashoba?

Camp Nashoba has the most activities of any camp in the area!  It is located on a lush landscape of 95 acres of pinewoods and open fields.  Camp Nashoba has only the best quality facilities, located on the crystal clear waters of Crescent Lake in the Sebago Lake region of southern Maine.  It just doesn’t get any better.

Enjoy sports?  Nashoba has soccer, tennis, golf, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, archery, wilderness hiking and more.

How about performing arts?  We also offer one act plays, dance recitals in hip hop, jazz, and modern, and music recitals in vocals, piano, guitar and drums. Camp Nashoba North also puts on 2 musicals each summer.

Don’t forget creative arts!  Creative campers will enjoy woodworking, pottery, photography, arts & crafts, and mixed art mediums in our many studios.
